foreign, account, message, anything, register

Here are the step by step instructions to help foreign speaks to create an account to login and publish posts. Please send me message if you see anything not clear or need to be updated.

Note:
If you just want to read the posts, you do not need to be a member or create an account. You need to register an account if you want to publish new topic or reply posts. But we encourage you to register an account as you can get more benefits.

1. Register an account:
a. Registration: You can click "注册" (highlighted in the following screenshot) to register an account and then log in.

b. Click "注册", the Registration dialog pops up:

c. Input your information:

   1) User Name: 2) Password: 3) Confirm Password: 4) Email:
   5) Verification: (For example, user needs to input the answer "8" in this field for the question "3+5="
   6) User needs to input the word shows in above UI which is "w4pp" in this case.

d. Sometimes it would show Chinese question like “我们的网站叫什么名？“ , you can either copy and paste "华邮网"  as the answer or you can click "换一个" (Try again) to try another one.

e. Please input the reason for registration: "Philately (集邮）", you can just put English string.

f. Success to finish registration:
   The following dialog shows "Thank you for registering "华邮网", please wait Administrator's approval".
   Note: You can log in with your new account now, but you cannot publish new topic or reply posts before your account get final approval. (???, need to confirm???)

g. Waiting for approval
   The message in this dialog shows following information:
   "New user needs to be approved manually by Administrator. You have sent one request and not gets approved yet.
      Current status: Please wait Administrator to approve your request.
      Registration Reason: Philately "集邮"" - here is the string that you input in previous step.

h. Administrator approves your request:

I.  You will get notification after approval:
      Here shows "Notification: System message (1)"

Now your account should be fully functional.

Log on and update your personal information.

1. Log On
You can find "登录" (Log on) on the top of the front page (highlighted here):

2. Click "登录" and then fill your account informatin.
First is your Account Name and second is your Password.

3. You will get following dialog after log on successfully.

4. Go to "个人中心", you can change your Settings.

5. Required information:
In the "个人中心" page, select "个人资料" to update your personal information.The highlighted field "个人签名" (Personal Signature) is required. You need to put your name and address, phone number and your collection area is optional. You can input 200 char in this field. After you fill the information, Click "提交" (Submit) button on the bottom.

6. Select "修改头像" to add or modify your picture.

7. You can pick an image and upload to website to show as your identity. Click "选择图片" button to select a picture. Click "预览头像" to preview the picture. If you are satisfied, you can click "上传图片" to upload the picture。

9. When you post new topic or reply to a post, you must input at least 5 characters. The first 10 posts required verification code. Normally it is a number, if you see the Chinese characters, then you can input "华邮网".
Here are examples, first post only contains 4 characters and cannot pass the check. The verification question is in Chinese, then input "华邮网". The second post with numbers for the verification and the input string length meet 5 char requirement.

11. New post is published successfully.

Publish new topic post.

1. You can post a new topic in China Stamp & Postal History Forum by clicking "发帖" (Publish Post).

2. Click "发帖" (Publish Post), you will see following information for new topic.

3. Fill the information.

4. Upload pictures, click "图片" (Picture) or "附件"(Attachment), then click "浏览" (Browse) to pick the picture.

5. Locate the pictures/attachments.

6. Click "上传" (Upload) to upload the files.

7. Message box shows "文件上传完成" (Files have uploaded).

8. In your post, click the file name to insert it into your post.

Receive or Send Messages.

There are two ways to send message.
1. Option 1.
a. Click "短信息" (Message) on the up right corner to send message.

b. Following message box shows up:

c. Click "发送" (Send), the following information shows the message is sent successfully.

2. Option 2:
a. When new message is coming, the red "提醒"(Reminder) will show up.

b. Click "短信息" (Message), then click "查看信息" (View message) to view message.

c. View related messages.
