Last year, I met a lot CSS members in PIPEX 2014. It the largest stamps show in the Northwest every year.
On May 8th,Itook one day off and drove 180 miles to visit the stamp show. The traffic on the Friday morning is not bad, so that I arrived the hotel earlier. I took some time to view the auction lots, not many good China related materials.
Only one cover would be interesting with the special cancellation.
Last year, I had a lot fun to sit with Gene in the auction room and bid the items. This year, not many Chinese collectors shows up, but I met with Kenny.
In the middle of show, we went out for lunch and talked about 3 hours. It is fun to talk with Kenny and know so many stories.
Stamp collecting is not only about buying stamps, it is a social activity. I am glad to meet so many good collectors in the world.
Steven is very knowledgeable with China stamps, I saw his full page advertisement in the CSS magazine. I met him a few times in the Portland stamp show. Last year, I bought about $1000 books from him. This year, there is no surprise, I bought another $1000 books. (Thanks Kenny for waiting me a long time while I was picking the books).

Last week, I received one letter from an outstate dealer, it included a copy of that cover.
The dealer knew what he was selling, so that he put a note in the letter, "please check back cancellations!"
My eye opened wide and my heart start pumping quickly. Not only for the Air Transit 3 cancellation, but for the interesting journey and the related history event. I picked up the phone and called the dealer, even without knowing the price, I said, I want it!
